Greg Willis passed away July 3, 2020

Greg Willis, formally Gregory Hamilton Willis 3/17/1946 – 7/3/2020 Plano, Texas

At 74 years young, Greg Willis had been in the hospital with a series of non-covid medical conditions and passed away about 2:00 a.m. July 3, 2020.
For over 50 years Greg was single-minded about healing all of agriculture through natural means. A tremendous psychic and Yogananda Kriyaban, he leveraged the works of Rudolph Steiner, Luther Burbank, George Washington Carver in innovating genius-level, highly evolved, natural solutions for agriculture far ahead of his time. Greg’s system of Wholistic Agriculture evolved what’s possible in blending specialized compost, complex cover crops, and the water-based “Field Sprays” he lovingly crafted from concept to retail products. The plant and mineral sprays produced miraculous results from curing plant diseases and controlling various forces of growth, to enhancing color, flavor, and textures of flowers and foods. He was continually working on the next level of how to work with Nature for balance and biological potential, and how to describe Nature through evolving new areas of science.

Greg earned 3 degrees in 5 majors culminating with his Masters degree in Hospital Administration and worked at a hospital in Baltimore. Greg started gardening at age 15, discovered Organic Agriculture in 1972 and Biodynamic Agriculture in 1980, then won 2nd place in Organic Gardening Magazine’s 1986 Gardener of the Year Contest. Following a vineyard he restored producing Double Gold Medal winning wines, Greg’s consulting in many states and internationally resulted in publishing several handbooks on his methods. Featured speaker at the 2007 Wholistic Agriculture and Viticulture Conference, he inspired attendees from around the world. His life’s work lives on in those of us who had the privilege and benefit of his conversations, writings, speaking and teaching on the topics he loved.
Greg is survived by his sons Timothy Willis and James Willis.
